Book 3 - The Elephant and the Bad Baby

This is a classic picture book very popular to read to the children in the class. The "cummulative story" and the ilustrations are very appealing, warmly and wittily done.

The story tells the adventures of an elephant and a baby that meet while a walk. The elephant offers the baby a ride around the town. They go to different shops and the elephant takes sweets and snacks with his trunk for the baby. Every shopkeeper runs after them furious because they don´t pay anything.

After a while the elephant realizes that the baby haven´t once said "please" and he obviously gets crossed. The baby wants to be back to her mother and they all go for tea to the baby´s place. His mother cooks pancakes for everyone.

The author of this book is Elfrida Vipont a well-known British children's author. She was also a school teacher and an important member of the Society of Friends in England and also became head of the Quaker School.
